Bee Safari

The dates for our bee safaris can be found on our calendar.
A bee safari is a great opportunity to be nosey improve your beekeeping by seeing other people’s hives.
On each occasion one or more members in a local area open the doors to their apiaries and allow us to follow hive inspections led by a guest beekeeper. The guest beekeeper talks about what they find and discusses the methods being used by the beekeeper. Often, a Seasonal Bee Inspector will take the lead and conduct full disease inspections providing everyone with a fantastic opportunity to ensure they recognise diseases that might be in their own hives.
There is always plenty of time for chat and refreshments and a long break to enjoy our packed lunches.
If you’d like to volunteer to host a bee safari at your apiary or you have any questions then please contact us.
